Holy Royal Arch

The Supreme Grand Chapter of England is the governing body of Royal Arch Masons in England, Wales, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. It is based within Freemasons’ Hall in London. 

 

The Supreme Grand Chapter is responsible for administrating the Royal Arch Masonry, a degree of Freemasonry that complements the first three degrees of Craft Masonry. 

 

The Supreme Grand Chapter operates as a separate organization with its own finances and administrative structure, but it shares many of the same services within Freemasons’ Hall in London with United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE). 

 

The Grand Master, the Grand Secretary, and the Grand Treasurer of UGLE automatically hold equivalent positions in Supreme Grand Chapter. The Supreme Grand Chapter holds convocations each year on the second Wednesday in November and on the day following the Annual Investiture of Grand Lodge.
