The Home of Freemasonry in West Bromwich
It is believed that the Masonic rooms in Edward Street, West Bromwich were first used in 1889 by the Dartmouth Lodge No. 662. This seems to tie in with the laying of the foundation stone on 28th May 1889 by the then Mayor of West Bromwich, Wor. Bro E Heelis who, in his mayoral year, was also Worshipful Master of the aforementioned Dartmouth Lodge. These rooms have been the home of Bromwic Lodge since its consecration. The lodge rooms at Edwards Street are used by many different masonic groups and the ornate surroundings really do make a lasting impression on both those who use and visit them.
